I fell deeply in love with Nancy Drew mysteries when my mother gifted me the first book in the series. By Carolyn Keene, which is a pen name, the young sleuth’s adventures have sucked me in for more than 20 years.
I, like many other Nancy Drew lovers, consider the first 56 books in the series make up the classic series while the Simon & Schuster additions, which began being published in 2003.
Partly because I wanted to copy my mother, but mostly because I was fascinated by them, I have wanted to read every book in the Nancy Drew series, but have never really kept up with the additions I’ve read. Plus, since I know I haven’t read them all, I’m just going to stalk both my personal and public libraries, pick out a book, and simply mark it off the upcoming list following its reading!
